HOMELESS KIDS
These kids are young, usually between the ages of 17-25 physically (but not socially or emotionally); they either live on the streets or make their living from the streets engaging in prostitution, drug dealing, panhandling, etc. They enter these lifestyles only to survive. Everything they do is out of a survival mentality.
The vast majority are school dropouts who are emotionally unstable, jobless and addicted to drugs or alcohol. They walk an aimless street life that more often than not leads to criminal behavior.
Our mission is to introduce them to the unconditional love of Jesus Christ as we build relationships and gain their trust. We are encouraging and helping them to get off the streets and become productive citizens.
They don't care what you know, until they know that you care. God has given us His heart of love and compassion for these at-risk and often forgotten members of society. Our first objective is to care for them.
Since 2001, in partnership with YWAM, we have helped hundreds of at-risk street kids and older homeless get into shelters, drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs, maternity and transitional living homes, or back with their families. In addition we have influenced many to get off the streets by seeking employment and furthering their education. The tragedy is that many who come off the streets don't stay in the programs, but are dragged back to their old lifestyles.
We've helped many single young women that become pregnant and are not equipped to be stable parents. Many don't have the economic means or the skills to be good parents, so we direct them to YWAM's Little Footprints Children's Ministry. Little Footprints assists them during their pregnancy and prepares them for caring for their babies, or can help them with adoption through Loving Houston Adoption Agency (both directed by Kim Dale).

GET INVOLVED
JWM is expanding its ministry to include the older homeless and street kids in other urban areas of Houston. We also assisted in establishing ministry operations in 2008-2016 at the outreach church of Mighty Redeemer Ministries.
Pray for revival in the streets among our target population; those whom the world looks down on: The prostitutes, drug addicts, alcoholics, drag queens, rebellious street kids, the hopeless; as only Jesus can set them free—
Funds needed for the ongoing operational expenses and to increase and expand services to the street kids and older homeless.
